Crap - Evap codes

That is a major bummer, i guess Toyota thinks it will make people safer right? Or maybe make their network of dealers richer?
Myself i could live without skid control ABS brakes even them hope they don't kill you airbags.
I grew up driving my car and being in control of it, not relying a super smart computer to take control of it.:bash:

I explain the most likely reasoning behind this in the thread I linked earlier. Basically VSC & TRAC function via inputs and outputs from various parts of the vehicle including the engine and drivetrain. In Toyota's eyes (and some other manufacturers who have similar set-ups) since most every OBDII DTC relates to engine/drivetrain performance (with the exception of a handful of EVAP DTCS) when an OBDII DTC is set there is most likely an issue in the engine/drivetrain system which means that the VSC/TRAC are no longer receiving/outputting accurate data/controls and so they shut that system off to be safe.
