How good are these ProStop rotors? My 2003 has 17" tire so I'll get 17" rotors for the front?

On a side note: my 2003 4Runner V8 2WD SR5 has 168k miles. The original front brake pads were replaced at 92k with OEM pads, then again at 168k with OEM pads. The rear was replaced at 125k with OEM pads and still good at 168k.

Time will tell, but theres great reviews, they are beautifully surfaced and in spec. And you are practically just paying for shipping.


The reality is that most rotor castings come from the same few factories in asia. Then recognizable companies buy them, machine them, coat them, add holes, whatever. Its not a complicated product, and the problems people encounter with rotors are typically caused from surrounding components(pads, calipers, bearings, idiot drivers, etc)

Now where rotors can go wrong is if they cheaped out on the amount of fins between the faces, or drilled rotors can be a disaster without proper engineering.

Ofcourse these are just my opinions

Just ordered 2 16" front (31327G, $16.54 each) and 2 rear ($12.89 each). After tax and free shipping, it's $64.44! (not sure why free shipping. I think it was $5 last week?)

PS: My 2003 4R 2WD has 17" wheels but the front rotor is 318mm (16". I measured it)

centrics are pretty great.

on the amazon deal note, a friend sent me a link for a hitch mount bike rack for 12.99. when i saw the link it said 124.98. he ordered two but amazon canceled his order so he complained and they gave him a $50 gift card. his brother ordered two for the 12.99 price and received shipping confirmation today.
