Gobi sells them for the 3rd gens but i wasn't sure whether it was the same for all 4runners.

Well the trailer sold today so that means lots of ordering of parts this week. And hopefully receiving most if not all by the weekend for installing. 
Just put an order in with:
Toyteclifts
- OME 861's for the rear
- Extended rear stainless brake line
Tuesday I will be putting an order in with:
Eshocks:
- Extended travel 2.5" SAW's for the front
Wheelers offroad:
- Extended travel SAW 2" rear shocks for a 4th gen since the upper mount is already drilled for it. May be able to get a set of 2.5" body shocks with the same valving from SAW. (about 9" travel and 1" more droop than I have currently)
- Camburg UCA's
- Diff Drop Kit
Stay tuned for updates.... Its gonna be an exciting couple of weeks.

This thing is coming up fast, Crazydub. Thanks for taking the time to post so many pictures on the install of your Whitson rack. I think those are the most detailed pictures I've seen anybody post since those things came out. It looks awesome on your 4Runner, and kudos on the creativity that went into the little tweaks/mods on the rack.
I'm looking forward to seeing this thing sitting on some new suspension parts. When I read your post awhile back about how it performed beyond your expectations I thought that was pretty cool... glad you're moving forward with the build.

Oh absolutely.
I actually shot an email over to SwayAway today about the shocks and i'm hoping they can build a set of 2.5 bodied shocks with the same valving as the 2.0 rears on the 4th gens and still be drop in units. Waiting to hear back from the tech department.

It really is a tough one though. I swear its like i'm in the running with everyone who I look up to build wise.... They all have amazing builds and truthfully, I don't know who should win. All have there high points. And best of all... They all get wheeled a lot. :lookout:
Now for the mods... with the reconsideration of future plans, i'm glad that with the sale of my axles, tires, and trailer, I had about $4,400 to play with that was already spent in one way or another. I was able to get the rack, all the components for the rear links, Suspension, Internal cage, etc.
I love how smooth the suspension is, but the spacers in the rear are starting to shift and when I go over bumps on the freeway, I can feel the rear shimmy like it really needs bushings and some solid suspension. Don't get me wrong, if it felt as solid as it wheeled, I wouldn't change a thing...

With all them bolt on parts you're 4runner is going to look so bland...........

Its the same setup that I have on the 06 so I know I will love them. Just a little worried about stiffness. I do plan on having a lot of extra weight in the back so I hope the 4th gen valving will pair well with the 861's.
Its funny though because you and J-Money are they only two 3rd gens I have found running SAW's. Kinda surprising really....
I'm hoping that SAW can build some rear 2.5's with stud top post for me to match the 4th gen valving. It will be nice to have 9"+ travel in the back in the factory location.

Over New Years weekend, RuffStuff was having a 20% off sale that I couldn't pass up.
I was able to pick up my heim joints and poly bushings for the 5 rear links.
7/8" x 3/4 heims
1/4 wall poly bushings with zerk fittings
9/16" and 5/8" weld washers for all link mounts.
Tubing size will be 1.5" x .250 wall for all links
Over New Years weekend, RuffStuff was having a 20% off sale that I couldn't pass up.

Front coilovers on there way. (SAW cant drop ship so they need to ship back east to eshocks then all the way back to 15 minutes north of the warehouse... yay... Looks like 2 weeks till I get them)
OME springs shipped yesterday,
Rear brakeline backordered... Toytec should have more in soon
Rear SAW's on their way from Wheelers along with some Uniball dry lube and stainless front brakelines.
Diff drop and Camburg UCA's on backorder as well...

I had some 2.0 SAW's, but sold them for 2.5 Donahoes. There aren't that many people running coilovers (Icon, SAW, FOX, Fabtec, King) on this site besides Toytecs. Maybe because we're all cheap asses or we don't do as much high speed stuff like the Tacoma guys who need resi's and the such.

Yeah it's tough to spend 1k+ on just the front lift when you get a complete lift from Toytec for the same amount. I will say I love my adjustable coilovers though!

Maybe not to most, but the 15k saved and trading the parts I already had for components that will make it a suitable wheeler for the next few years does to me.

Technically the front suspension on the 3rd gens is a coilover from the factory. Just not adjustable... :bigok:
I know you had ran them before. Remember when we were talking about them a few weeks ago. Maybe that was Drew... I was thinking more of who was currently running them.
Yes it is a good chunk of change, but I figure my experience of my 2.5 front and 2.0 rears on the 06 with 50k hard miles on them and still the same as the day I bought them, kinda rubs me the right way.
I didn't want a full OME package or Toytec setup because Bilsteins, are well Bilsteins, and they don't come in the 2.5 variety. Plus you won't get them with a 7/8" shaft on the shocks which, in my eyes, is a must when crawling or desert running.
I figure when I can get the entire package, front and rear including uniball UCA's for right around 2100, i'm happy. Trust me I thought long and hard about what I wanted to do with the suspension, and I couldn't see paying for shocks that I couldn't have revalved or rebuilt, and possibly damaging over time.
I was considering Icon remote 2.5's front and rear but didn't feel that I would really need the remotes for the occasional Pismo, Mohave, DV trip.
