Creeping forward at stop lights

Always in stop and go traffic shift into neutral before coming to a stop at a red light. There is less pull from the motor when coming to a stop and less friction on the transmission when at a complete stop. Thats just the way I like to drive. Feels like I have a manual transmission that way without the having the left knee go out from the clutch.

If your racing from stop light to stop light this may not be a good solution for you. Have a good week y'all.

When the AC compressor kicks on the idle will increase Slightly. This is probably just enough to overcome your brake pressure.

My daily driver car has a pretty solid brake pedal and just resting my foot on it is enough to hold it in place. Needless to say the 4runner creeps on me like 90% of the time because I’m so used to the other car haha.

Does this happen to anyone when the AC is NOT on? I noticed this happen recently in my 2014 SR5 model without the AC. I did have my heater on.

My 2019 ORP is creepy. I have to remember it when I drive it as my sedan doesn't do it.

Heat uses the compressor too. Its the compressor kicking on, with ac and heat. Got to have dry air is why the compressor is on with heat and ac. Correct in that a lot of domestic cars dont use the compressor with heat.

My 2019 SR5 did this as well. Just needs a bit more foot pressure than I was used to. After a few weeks I got used to it and adapted.

Noticed it first day after picking mine up

In my redline vue you could breathe on the pedal to keep it stopped

This beast you got to press down a bit more I am adjusted to it now after a couple months
