Where did you guys mount your crossover for your aftermarket front component speakers?
How did you mount them? Did you drill new holes, use existing holes if available, zip ties, etc?
Depending on the size of your crossovers, there is enough space between the top of the speaker and the end of the switches/armrest.
Thats the area I was thinking about mounting it. I've used zip ties and velcro straps before but it didn't feel very secure because I could wiggle it around by hand. I've usually gone with infinity reference or the equivalent kicker because install was easier compared to the larger higher end speakers I've had experience with.
Kinda considering going with coaxials to avoid trying to figure out where to mount the crossover.
I mounted mine to the inside door panel (metal part) using 3m double sided foam tape, and it has held perfect for almost 4 years now. Ehy wouldn't you mount it in the door close to the speakers? That's the easiest for wiring

I don't have a picture, but I mounted mine using velcro in the map holder section of the door. I drilled a small hole for the wires to pass through on the inside of the door and then mounted the crossover. It was nice to be able to adjust it and you couldn't even tell it was there!
I also mounted mine in the map pocket with Velcro. You hardly ever notice them.
Is that a screw holding it in place or did you use double sided tape?
Behind the kick panel, you may not have room since you've got an 02, I know they hide a lot of electronics behind them.
If I didn't use that pocket for other stuff I would consider putting it there.
How much stuff do you usually have in the pocket? I also kept maps and various papers in there as well and they had plenty of room.
