current 4runner incentives?

I plan on ordering in the next few days.

I tried to google incentives but man all that really is presented are dealer ads and bait/switch stuff.

I'm not a vet, not a recent college grad, don't currently own a toyota so nothing like that would apply to me.

I plan on ordering, not trading in anything and can pay cash if there isn't some sweetheart financing....

are there any incentives I should know about to include w/ the negotiation?

I'd like to get a few hundred under published invoice, which for a SR5, I believe is $34,818 without any add-ons.

Incentives on 4Rs are rare-to-non-existent.

"Invoice" is pretty-much a number created to make you think "dealer cost", ergo "good deal".

Average discounts off MSRP is 5%. The closer you move to (the rare) 10% the stronger a negotiator you are.

Mixing in a trade and dealer add-ins muddies things up (intentionally).
 
They have that "Keep it Wild" incentive that is variable depending on the trim, however it has been around for months so I don't know if it actually qualifies as an "incentive", but it was worth $1k on a Limited.

I was able to get over 10% off MSRP, but I was also trading in a 2015 Lexus, so they probably figured they would make up their losses on the back end.

I ordered mine through a dealer's fleet/internet sales rep and was able to get 5.6% off MSRP, good but not great. That's all they were going to do. I did not bother with the floor sales reps.
 
you can get some discount if you go through Truecar.com.you need to buy at Truecar certified dealer to honor their certificate.It will definitely save some money.I bought mine through it last month.i am not related to that website/business,but got benefit from it,,hope it helps you too..tried to get TRDPRO, but dealer dont want to reduce price as it rare..so i got that pricing on Trial Premium..gud luck.

I was able to get $1500.00 off of my 2016 Trail 3 weeks ago. Also they are swapping around 3 sets of tires included. They wanted $37800.00 and I traded in a 2014 Jeep Cherokee TH with 36500 miles. I broke even on the trade @ $24500.00.
 
Depends on where you're at. Around here 5% off is a pipe dream at most dealers. Trails go for at, or above sticker, pretty regularly.
 
If there is am auto show in your area, stop by the Toyota booth and get a $500 show voucher. I got mine at the Cleveland auto show a couple weeks ago, and it will be applied after any other discounts. I'm buying through a Costco participating dealer, so there won't be any "add $500 on before taking it off" sort of dealings.
 
Guys, don't turn this thread into another "What I Paid ..." thread. We already have one of those. If there is a rebate, discount, kickback, whatever, let people know. Otherwise...

Toyota website has all rebates, rate specials and cash back offers by region. Nothing available on 2016's in my region. Good luck.

True that, I am feeling like I did great on mine from Autonation Toyota. 2016 Trail Premium, Super White with Crossbars, no KDSS. MSRP was $39,955 I got it for $37,000, put $1000 down to hold it and it is on a boat headed here now.
