Hi everyone, I'm currently an owner of a 2004 Toyota 4Runner. My 4Runner has been pretty reliable but since purchased "used" three years ago I've had had the headache of dealing with rust badly. Because of this I plan on trading in my 4Runner for something else. I'm a big Toyota fan and/or anything Japanese made except maybe Nissan as I feel Nissan has gone down hill over the years - sadly. Most likely I would purchase another Toyota like a newer 4th Gen 4Runner, older 5th Gen 4Runner, mid 2000's Land Cruiser. I also like Subaru Foresters, Mitsubishi Montero Limited and even Land Rovers which I have previously owned but it would probably be one of my last choices of brands due to cost of ownership. As far as Nissan I would consider the Xterra buthe yeah.
But anyways my issue here is I dislike American made autos and do not like Jeeps period except for the Commander. I like the styling and look but afraid of ownership because it's a Jeep and Chrysler product. I'd hate driving a Jeep or Chrysler product but the Commander is one I've considered but not sure.
What do you guys think here? Commander a pos and stay away or worth a try? And BTW any thoughts on the 2002 - 2006 Mitsubishi Montero Limited that's no longer made?
