Hey, quick question for you guys that have changed out the rims and tires on your truck. I have the XD Addicts on my 2012 limited with the Nitto's. Do you guys let the dealer rotate your tires at all when servicing? I'm here for my oil change and service tech is really pushing for it to be done but I'm not so sure the lowest wage guy will not scratch the rims. Thoughts? Thanks.

Go with your instinct.
But I would specifically ask the service writer if he feels confident that his technician will not damage the wheel. Even ask him to look at the wheels with you and confirm there is no damage prior to them pulling the truck in.
Then, BEFORE you pay them for their services, ask to inspect the truck again. If possible, with the same service writer.
If you really want to go overboard with it, take pics with your phone while the service writer is standing there.
It's unfortunate we have these issues with trust when it comes to any service center. I'm glad that my clients trust the work we do and do not need the extra boost in confidence. I fully understand that someone new to me make these requests. It's only because they've been burned somewhere else.

I wouldn't let them - no later than a week after I got my countersteer's put on I went to get my 30K service.
Specifically asked them not to rotate my tires. They rotate them anyway and BROKE THE WHEEL LOCK!
Luckily my rim wasn't damaged as they went to town on the lugs without the correct wheel lock causing it to fracture down the side, but seriously, I specifically told them not to mess with my wheels and the tech working on my truck didn't even read the notes. :bash:

I never worry about scratches on my wheels. I cannot tell you how many times I have bashed them into rocks out wheeling. No damage. If they handle that, they can handle a Toyota tech.

Seriously, I had a lady tell me we put her center caps on upside down. She was dead serious. I really thought she was joking. So I hopped in and rolled her Hummer H3 back 2 feet. Boy, I felt good after that.
