Cutting the front bumper for tire clearance

Thanks man! I was pondering getting the 99+ setup when I replaced my bumper a couple of years ago.... but decided to keep the 96 - 98 style instead. Glad I did.

Good luck with trimming yours... If I can suggest one thing.... trace out the line you want to cut with a sharpie or some other writing tool. Then heat up an exacto-blade with a propane torch, and just cut away the unwanted plastic, with the hot blade. Makes a much cleaner cut, and a whole lot easier than what I did... (used a jigsaw... lol).

i did something close to what you did but with alittle less removal and keeps a nice line i think.

PS I hate the Fat Lip bumpers

Grinder with cutoff wheel works great or if you wanna be extra carful then use a dremel with a cutoff wheel. Or well I suppose you could use air shears if you want. Just make sure you clean up the edges lol

Holy hell that would suck an take a tone of time!! I used a grinder with a cutoff wheel. Just melts the plastic and then a orbital sander to clean it up. You could also use a sanding block too.

Definitely use a sharpie though. Mark, check, adjust mark, check, have buddy check, adjust if needed, cut! If you f**k up they well there is no going back and you might be trimming more than you intended!!
