CV Angles OK?

I installed FJ Springs and Bilstein 5100's x 4 on my 2003 V8 Sport Edition, after removing the XREAS system.

I left on the Daystar 2.5/1.5

The total lift must be over 3 inches now, it definitely is higher than previous, seems like I gained 1.5" from the previous daystar lift on the XREAS shocks.

How do I tell if I have lifted it too much?

The lift isn't over three inches either......

Nice setup but it's not over 3.

I know the lift will vary depending on a number of different factors... that being said, isn't it possible that he is at least approaching 3 inches of lift? If he got around 2.5 in the front from the daystar spacer and between a 1/4" to a 1/2" of additional lift from the fj coils wouldn't he in be the neighborhood of 3" in the front? Just curious if I am missing something that is obvious to others.

I can't speak for the CV angles, but if others that are more knowledgeable than me are saying they are fine, then I would trust their judgment.

Couple of questions though. What level do you have the Bilsteins set at? And how did your alignment go? I have an 06 Sport and have been contemplating this very setup. However, a few other forum members have advised me that once I start approaching the 3" lift height, which I believe this will get you close too, that there may be issues getting it back to factory specs when trying to align it without adding new upper control arms. Last question, how is the ride now that the Xreas is gone? Smoother or Stiffer? More body roll when cornering, less, the same etc? Very curious on your experience.

Thanks for your feedback. The 4Runner looks great by the way!

I am actually very pleased! My XREAS was dead, so I have noticed an excellent improvement in handling bumps and potholes. My cornering nose diving is better, close to a new XREAS, but not quite.

Bilstein 5100 setting - Factory ZERO, no shock lift

Alignment: Paperwork is not available to me, I did look it over, seemed like everything was in range. But now that you mention it, I think perhaps one number appeared Red...I'll have to wait until Friday to take a look at it again. I will post the numbers then

Body Roll On a one turn it snaps right back, where I think it is less than XREAS is on a straight away going say 50 mph + and doing a left right left swerve, it swims alittle.

Bumps I really appreciate the new springs, and shocks, takes parking lot speed bumps and pot holes like a champ!

I am considering the spider trax, I have suffered with a Rub on the sway bar ever since I went with the lift and the BFG's.

Thanks for your kind words on the truck.

It has been used hard, the Nevada Pin Striping :cowboy: is pretty rude and I have loose cladding on the passenger side which I am fixing next. Clips @ $2.99 each! I have to say this truck has handled mud, snow, towing and some tough rock strewn terrain like a champ and has never left me stranded.

Thanks for the detailed report! It will be interesting to see what alignment number was in the red. I would love to take mine off roading, but where I live there is no place to go legally. For now I have to live vicariously through others on the forum.
