Installing a new drivers side axle (from NAPA) comparing the two the new axle has the inner ring and rubber seal on it when I pulled the old out axle the metal ring came out but looks like the rubber seal stayed in the Diff? Dumb question but do I need to pull the seal from the Diff. And install new axle with inner ring and seal attached?
On the new axle the seal is attached to the metal ring.
Also on the new axle it came with a thick metal washer on the hub end, that looks as though it sits in groove/channel before hub that the old axle didn’t have and doesn’t appear to still be in the hub/bearing?
