CV removal

I'm changing out my inner cv boots. I've removed the axle nut and am in the process of breaking the axle loose by hitting it with a drift and hammer. I'm having a hard time breaking it loose. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I need to just keep hitting?

The best way I've ever found to break a stubborn part loose is to post up asking for advice.

Yep, the stuck part gets scared and pops loose on it's own.
