Cylinder 3 & 4 Misfire

Adding oil and the number coming up slightly doesn't always mean rings. It could still be valves. But never know till you take it apart. Or you could put a bore scope through your spark plug hole. If you have a bad set of rings on #3 then you'll be burning a little oil in that cylinder and you should have a black top on your piston except for a slightly clean outer edge.

This damage is from the water event?

Doubt it. Never had a problem before the head gaskets went. That's when everything went to shit.

Probably going to add a 2uz to the fleet guys. Unless I can figure out just WTF is going on. Just need to get the money up to be able to do it. LOL.

My vote is to use the 3UR, but how you could get it to fit is anyone's guess. Plus I would think it would fetch top dollar at the auction.

If not, grab the 2UZ with < 100,000 miles on it and begin the build.

FYI, when my cuz's Civic took on water in two cylinders and we pulled the engine, the walls had similar rust but the rust was more widespread and had moved its way to the top of the piston. I could see the water in the oil on the dipstick in his.

Doc had a nice creamy mocha fluid in his drain pan.

I'll put anything in it. 3UR motors fetch 5 to 6 grand. I am game for anything.

You have a misfire on cylinders 3 and 4. It's always a good idea to start with replacing spark plugs (dual electrode) and wires if they haven't been done in the last 50k miles or you are unsure on when they were changed.
