Cylinder 5,6 Misfire HELP!!!!!1

I replaced the spark plugs this morning and the first start the CEL and VSC ect lights go on and i take it to get scanned even with a blinking CEL and i learn the cylinder 5,6 have misfire please help meee

Dumb question...but did you make sure that the coils are plugged in? I did this so that is my first thought.
 
Sounds like you gapped them wrong. If you had to go somewhere to have the CEL scanned, then you were unable to clear the codes when you reinstalled the old plugs. With the old plugs in, have the codes cleared. See what happens.

im new to this what should happend if i have them cleared

If you clear the codes it makes the CEL go away.

If everything goes ok with the spark plugs then try putting the coil packs from cyl 5 and 6 onto different cyl to see if the misfire stays with the coil or if it stays with the cyl.

Does it run rough at all?

yea it runs really really rough and i was told by toyota not to drive it so i cant get to a autozone to get it scanned i have to get it towed

I just bought my own scan tool so that if/when I get another check engine light I can pull the codes myself. It's a laptop-based tool that has the standard 16-pin jack on one end and a USB 2.0 plug on the other and it came with a CD or DVD as well. It only cost me $35 through Amazon so you may want to go that route as opposed to having it towed to Autozone.
 
Hmm. Yea. Not good. If the old plugs had fixed the problem, the car would run fine.

Clearing codes was all about getting the CEL off, but it sounds like something is not good.
 
You didn't happen to get 5 and 6 wires mixed up did you?

I haven't changed plugs on that engine so don't know how feasible that is (length etc).

it has 76k on it but i dont know where each one was IMAG0013.jpg

i believe the NGK on ones were on the right when facing towards the engine

@ OP...did it just all of the sudden start running rough, or have your notice little hiccups or rough starts previous to the CEL?

as soon as i turned it on after the new plugs rough idling CEL then drove it and it was really lugging
 
Checked all other vacuum lines and electrical connectors in the vicinity? Maybe you knocked something else off/loose and the issue isn't related to the plugs at all.

You should have had to remove a big vacuum hose on the drivers side. Make sure that's installed correctly.
