[C4 Fabrication]

A couple of months ago I was approached via social media to be a brand ambassador for C4fabrication and the timing couldn't have been any better! I had just sold my third gen 4Runner and was in the market for rock sliders and front bumper. C4 has been an excellent company to work with and after a few weeks, I received their 5th gen rock sliders and low profile bumper. I opted for the Bajadesigns 30" amber light bar and smitty built xrc 9.5 winch. I had everything powerdercoated textured black from a local shop. Everything was installed in one day with the help of some friends. Everything went on without a hitch and I feel like the most difficult part was finding a spot to put the winch control box. So far, I'm very impressed with my purchase!



I got an awesome Oztent RV-2 for Christmas this year from the misses so no roof top tent for this build. Now I want to focus on upgrading to a legitimate suspension. I had my heart set on the Toytec boss kit but after doing some research, I'm leaning towards Bilstein 6112's in the front with 1/2" spacers and boss shocks and springs in the rear. For now, its time to hit some trails! Snow pics on the next update!

Haha not ridiculous at all! I thought of this before I installed my bumper so I sat on the front of my vehicle (I weigh about the same as the bumper/winch) and had someone measure the front end height. My front end dropped about a half inch. I can live with it but I definitely want to upgrade suspension soon.

Thanks! It's a comet rs720 trunk mount. Can be purchased on ebay

This is one thing I miss the most after the 4runner facelift.

The trails should come with black fenders from the factory!

Yes! My friend has a 2013 trail and I envy his fenders. Black fenders would've been a perfect way to distinguish the trail model in the newer 5th gens.

Angel Peak Run

A group of us attempted Angel Peak this afternoon. Made it about half way before turning around because of the conditions. I got to try out the Bajadesigns lightbar and I have to say it is extremely bright! Snow photos as promised.

They've been awesome as far as height and off-roading goes. The on-road ride is definitely different than the stock setup can't say if it's better or worse to be honest. Feels maybe a little bit stiffer. It was definitely worth it overall being able to fit my 285's there though. I'd do it again no question. I didn't want to worry about having to service my shocks so I went with the bilsteins to keep things simple long term.

Wheeler Pass snow run NYE

Went out with a group of Jeeps to Wheeler Pass for NYE. It's surprising how capable the 4Runner is. Places where the Jeep would get stuck, the 4Runner overcame effortlessly. Thank you A-TRAC and multi-terrain.

Beautiful rig. You mentioned earlier in the thread that you went with a "cheap" lift with 3" in the front and 2" in the rear... What exact lift did you go with?

Also, what CB/radio antenna mount is that, and what antenna? Thanks in advance!

Honestly the leveling kit I purchased had no brand. I just searched 2016 4runner leveling kit on eBay and found one that came with the front diff drop. The CB mount is a comet RS720 and the antenna can be purchased from right channel radios. It is the whip style antenna.

The misses got me an Oztent RV-2 tent for Christmas that I got to utilize. 30 seconds to put the tent up, 20 minutes to put the rain fly and awning up haha. It'll be quicker next time!

Up to date as of yesterday's trip to Lucky Strike Canyon. Baja utility rack and Prado 150 snorkel installed! Freespirit Recreation 6.5 foot awning on the way that I plan on installing on the passenger side. Still a toss up on what suspension to go with but leaning more and more towards OME with heavy spring up front and medium in the rear.
