I can already tell I'm going to like it a lot more, I should've just gone with it in the first place, but my dad convinced me that everything would rub unless I went 3" :doh:

Not a problem for me! I mostly do exploring, the wheeling around here is pretty boring imo. But it's always nice to have another 4x4 to back you up!

Drove her for the first time today, runs a lot smoother, that's probably since the cams aren't a tooth of anymore, also has a little more get up and go, accidentally laid a little peel coming out of the parking lot at the car wash.
No issues to report, need to zip tie a bottle in there as a haggard radiator overflow until I'm confident the cooling system is completely flushed out, then I can add the Toyota coolant and mount up my aluminum overflow.
Working on figuring out my bumper crossmember as I type this, looks like I don't have insurance right now with all the zipties and wires dangling off the front lol.

Glad you got her back on the road man.
I love my little 3rz but I have been watching for a spare block to build myself. I think I would go the supercharger route just because I don't want to mess with it. A good build head with some cams and a supercharger should be enough go for me. Next up I will show how I won the lottery lol.
Keep up the good work man. I was glad to read about your opinions on the projectors and the bl. I have never run one but I would like to run the 255/85 and I don't want to take the suspension geo completely out. I will also be watching for the manual hubs.

I've actually got the spare motor already, just a matter of spending the money, I'm kind of undecided, I may just go the S/C route if one pops up, go for around 6-7PSI and drop in some stage 2 or 3 cams, but for now, I don't want to go without having my runner to drive for quite sometime. Missed it every day.
If you can get a good alignment guy who's willing to take the time to work it all out, you can definitely get very good alignment at 3" give or take a little, I did it by finding a small shop that can afford to take like 3 hours to get it just right, instead of one of the major chain stores that has to pump em out in 30 minutes to hit a quota. Manual hubs are a must IMO, the only real way to eliminate the CV axle woes on a daily driver.

They're factory off a a Limited, 96-02 are the same, you have to either find them at a junkyard or from someone parting out a 3rd gen. And they never came in black from the factory so you'll have to paint them if you want black.

Oh ok I thought you got them oem from a website you got extremely lucky finding those! Or they have alot of 4runner where you are ..every time I go there's none or there's 1 that' has no parts on it lol

Between the 2 junkyards I frequent I see probably 10 or so new 3rd gens every 6 months. I got pretty lucky.

I wish there were 4runners like that down here in Alabama lol I got lucky 1 time in texas got a new rear bumper and a new mirror 10 bucks each..way better quality that my old ones

Figured out that my camera somehow got moisture in it, that's why all my damn pictures have been blurry lately. Working on getting a new phone, but have a temporary fix for now.

Going to be getting a works bell hub if I can figure out which one is the right one.
