Sticker shock got me on the correct works bell short hub, so I ended up going with an NRG short hub (SRK-120H) and gen 2.5 quick release for about the same price.

Got some nice clear pics of some of the stuff I buttoned up while fixing up my blown headgasket.
First up a nice view of my hood, came out kind of like ass, but at least it looks awesome. You can see the little touch up I did on my TEQ badge too.
Engine back in and together, doing little dressup stuff still and buttoning up some bracketry and wiring as I find it.
Ghetto overflow ziptied in
And a decent look at how I did my clearancing for my front fenders.

Little christmas in October today, got a few things in the mail.
First up my horn button setup from Grip Royal, went with an all chrome crest logo set-up, though about doing gold and black but decided to keep it all one color.
And an oil pressure gauge, Autometer Pro-Comp, NOS from way back in 2001, the turd was basically new when this thing was made.
And got a good ass deal on this greddy catch can on ebay, couldn't say no.

I wish they made them with airbags - I'm sick of my 2 spoke, but I can't find something like a Lexus IS or GS wheel in good condition.

Yea, I was hung up on the airbag for a long time, but finally got over it, I thought about doing a Lexus wheel when I found an ES300 with a nice wheel in the junkyard, but didn't have any idea how any of the horn or airbag wiring ran though. I'm definitely happier with the Grip Royal than I would've been with that wheel though.

Just in case anybody with a 3RZ is considering the Silla radiator, I thought I'd update, I figured out that you're better off using the lower hose for a 2WD 2RZ Tacoma than the factory hose. The factory hose will work if you trim it way down on the T-stat side, but still will have a little kink. 2RZ Taco hose drops right on with no trimming and fits perfectly.
Part # you need is Gates 22258 instead of the Gates 22260 that I had originally bought.

Aaaanddd, it didn't rain at all, all day. This is still Oregon right???
Well, as promised a nice little update.
First thing is I got the oil pressure gauge mounted up, not actually wired in yet since I can't just screw the sender into the factory spot (it's too big and hits the AC mount bracket), so I'll have to figure that out eventually.
I also got the front bumper mounted back on half assed, I just chopped the crappy mounts off and moved the up a couple inches, didn't want to do it that way, but I don't ahve time to build the xmember right now.
Don't really remember if I ever posted anything about the new sub setup.
I'm running 2 Dayton HO 12" subs in a really tiny little box, takes up literally no room at all compared to my past setups.
For the first month or so I only had about 400W on the pair and it was very, very quiet, but I recently picked up and Audioque 2200.1 and put them on it @ 2 ohms, with around 1600W going to the pair they slam harder than I ever thought a setup this compact would. And it was pretty low budget for the output I'm getting. I need to pull it back out and carpet the box, but again, no time.
Had the 4Runner loaded down recently pretty good, lots of groceries + 3 extra people, and the side I ahdn't cut the fender and flare on rubbed pretty good. Finally chopped that off Sunday. looks good if I do say so.
And a couple of parts pickups, first off, I was finally able to get the mirror style Hilux Surf spoiler off of Brilliant. gotta get it painted, but it's gonna look real nice.
And I picked this up on craigslist, 60" Hiflift with handle retainer never bee used for 40$. Figure even if I use it once 40$ isn't bad.
And I still haven't got my fancy aluminum overflow mounted, so, fruit punch anyone?

I'm not a huge bass head but I was looking at the Dayton ho 12 for a single 12 solution. You're the first person who has run this sub to my knowledge so do you think a single 12 on around 300 to 400 watts would fill the space?
BTW I am admiring the surf spoiler. I will be looking forward to seeing that painted to match. I couldn't use one due to the roof rack.

A single one on 400 should be just enough to fill in the low frequencies, but I'd look for 6-700W if you want to wake the sub up more. I'm truly amazed by how well these do with the size of the box considered.

I'm looking at cramming it in the side compartment lol. Should be just enough airspace to do the trick. This time it's a simple system. Cdt classic components in the front and cdt rear fill. This ho sub and I'm just going to power it with a 5 channel amp. No more complex setups for me. Looking ar the hifonocs Brutus. It has a higher sub output and isolated 5th channel.

From the little I've read about 5 channels, this little amp seems to be kind of the go-to for the kind of setup you're talking about.
