Hi every one.
If you guys don't mind, we should share everyone's contact numbers.
I was not able to make it today as it is heavily raining here in central LA. Also arrived home last night after a long trip.
How about March 2nd, 9th? etc., I like Saturdays as I have to drive 5 hours to get home. I can safely do it on Sundays.
Let's try again.

what tools do you have?
Don't have many here in dallas. Most of mine are still in Austin as I don't have the room. I just have your standard ratchets and sockets
I too have to replace the valve cover gaskets. Are you in a hurry to do your repairs?
what tools do you need to replace the valve covers? and how do you know they need to be replaced?
I don't think mine need that (yet), but I sure would be interested in learning how to do it...
10, 12 and probably 14 mm (box sockets).

I would love to have a warn, just out of my price range at the moment. I picked up an Ironman 9500# winch, comes with a full 3yr warranty, is submersible, and has both wired and wireless controllers. Very happy with the purchase so far, doing a synthetic lead after i get some Savage Skid plates.
I know I need to replace mine bc they are weeping. Ive already bought them along with the spark plug boot gaskets. I am driving to Austin on Friday and would love to do them before the drive but I'm not sure ill have time.
I also have a radiator, trans cooler and fuel filter to install as well.

I don't have a flare wrench but plan on buying one just for this job.
I bought a koyo radiator and was just going to use half distilled water and half coolant from autozone. Is the Toyota coolant far better? Water has quicker cooling capabilities than coolant so that's why I'm doing half distiller water.

Toyota still sells its red coolant, as well as a pre-mixed pink coolant; you really need to use the proper coolant to avoid mixing the wrong chemicals and causing an adverse reaction inside your engine...
from another site:
"Toyota coolant was developed to meet the specific requirements of our engines and provides maximum protection without the use of harmful silicates. Silicates is a main ingredient in other antifreeze coolants and can actually damage the water pump seal, causing leakage. Toyota coolant is a high-performance, non-silicate coolant which provides better protection for metals without deterioration of the water pump seal."
Interesting. I can't tell if that's Toyotas way to induce us to use their expensive coolant vs another brand or if they are being factual with their silicate fact. I used distilled water on my 950rwhp Z06 and it works perfect

Yeah water works great, Most racecars and racebikes run water, they don't like antifreeze spilling on the track. Just don't forget to swap it for antifreeze in the winter!
John, might you possibly be willing to help me install my winch and bumper (when I finally get around to ordering it)?
