Dash Click/Rattle

My 2022 Limited is also having the same problem.

I've tried everything. The issue is not the splash guard or the cowl area. I suspect the noise is coming from behind the glovebox.

Tick/ rattle near glovebox when my T4R was brand new in 2017 was fixed by dealer service rep removing glovebox and applying foam and felt around the air bag.

I've spent 30 minutes this morning in the parking lot as I could hear the rattling noise on idle. After practicing some contortionism, I was able to confirm what I've been suspecting since day one: The noise is coming from under my glove box. It is hard to pin point the exact location though.

I've checked the cabin filter and fan. No issues there.
Touched all clips, harness, wires and white plastic while but the rattling continued.

I am not totally convinced if the ratting is being generated inside the cabin or if it is coming from the engine compartment.

I had an annoying intermittent rattle from the glovebox for awhile before I decided to take it apart and track it down. In my case it ended up being the 4WD ECU that's located behind the glovebox - the metal plate it sits on was loose...

Good to know, thanks!

I am planning to take the glove box apart and I will definitely check for that.

As your vehicle is new, the dealer should be able to help you out. Give the above Technical Notes to the Dealer Service Manager and ask them to place the foam in the areas indicated. I suspect this is not something you will want to do yourself as even the service tech said is was a challenge to get to the right area. Noise like that in a new vehicle is a downer and good luck.
