Sorry, I don't think anyone here has had that problem...especially on a 4th gen.

You might want to check out an interior specialist...sort of like a body shop, but they only deal with interior issues.

When the Olds dealer damaged my lower dash (while taking out the center console) in my Alero...they call one of those guys 'in a van' that can to the dealership to repair it...basically the rubber/vinyl was cut/torn...they used a combination of chemicals and heat. Honestly, you could hardly tell it was repaired.

But seems like your problem is over the passenger side air bag...not sure anyone will 'touch' it...

Do you use armorall? Armorall type products accelerate wear on the interior especially plastics. Armorall absorbs and dries out all of the oils in the pastics that keep them soft and pliable making them hard and brittle.

I used to use Armorall and within 5 years I had cracks develop on my dash. My uncle warned me for years to stay away from Armorall and as it turns out he was correct.

I never use amorall...on any thing....the dealership had some shiny stuff on it when I bought it. I got it used from a toyota dealer. I was surprised by it as well. Thanks for the advise everyone and I'll take any other comments. this is my 5th toyota in 4 years (incluing the 2my wife has) and still a fan
