dash lights out after head unit install

I had a double din head unit installed yesterday and just rode for the first time when its dark outside. Noticed that the left 2 AC toggle switch backlights are out. The 3rd one to the right works fine though. Also noticed that the rear window button light is out. But the window works, and the AC toggle buttons work, just no lights. I pulled it apart, you can't tell if those bulbs are bad(at least I can't) and that's about as far as my electrical abilities go. Anyone have an idea what it could be? It's a weird combo of lights out. I checked all fuses and they're good.

The bulbs are just sensitive when you take the dash apart and it doesn't take much to kill them. Just look at the diagrams posted in this thread and order the ones you need from your local dealer: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/43130-replacement-instrument-light-bulb.html

Happened to me too after I installed my head unit. Turn out that those bulbs were loose during installation. I just tighten all the bulbs again and that fixed the problem.

You found them at RS? I had to go to a Toyota dealer for mine. I think they hit me for about $5/ea.

It was like $4 for a 5 pack if I remember. They are basically just a bulb with long leads. You pull the old bulb from the base and insert the new one. It was really easy.
