Dashboard Lights

Hi All,

The lights for VSC Trac, Trac Off, Brake & Engine are lit. I turned off the engine and back on. All lights remain lit except for Engine light. After driving a minute or so the engine light is now lit. So i took it to Autozone to run a check but when i get there, the engine light won't lit so they can't get a readout of the error out. VSC Trac, Trac Off and Brake lights are still on. I checked the gas cap and it's tight, any suggestions on what could be causing these lights or how to get the error code read without the engine light lit? Forgot to mention that the ABS light is also lit.
Thanks!

Memory is a bit foggy, but I think something like a zero point calibration error could be the issue?

gas cap

I've read about this issue many times on this forum. Check to see if the gas cap was put on tight enough. You should tighten it until it clicks.

i checked the gas cap last night and this morning, it clicked multiple times. took it to autozone and repair shop today, both came back with malfunction vehicle speed sensor. repair shop ran some tests but don't think it's the VSS, also forgot to mention that the odometer is not working either. when i pick up the car, i'll ask more why he thinks the VSS is not the problem.

i've been having similar issues for a while now.. its on and off so i don't really bothered looking into it, i've read some similar scenarios in here and i finally decided to take it in since im due for an oil change anyways, dealer told me that the lights(skid light etc.) should be lit up when i bring it in so they can figure it out. But see whenever that happens im always out and about somewhere and not in town hopefully next time it happens i'm close to a toyota dealership and have them check it out. GL

The issue just started yesterday and it continue to stay on since. talked to repair shop and he tested the circuit and relays, both tested fine. he thinks it's not getting power to the wheel speed sensor. i have to bring it back again tomorrow since he doesn't have time to look at it more.

took it dealer and they said the ABS computer needs to be replaced. it's around $1500 for the part and another $200 for labor. i asked him whether there will be any ill effect if i just leave the bad abs computer alone and he said it would damage other computers (beside not get ABS brake). Is this the case that i do have to replace the abs computer so that the other computers won't get damaged?
