Dashboard/Windshield glare

I have had a few Toyotas of the same vintage as my '85 4runner and I hate the giant white rectangle of glare that reflects onto my windshield!! Many of you may have noticed this little issue. Well this has always been my solution and I figured I would share it with you!
I cut the ass out of an old pair of Black Carhardts ans glue it onto the dash! Presto! the black doesn't reflect at all and I have pockets to store my Reggie and Insurance card in! Easy solution for a common problem.Very handy as well.

Glare sucks no matter what ride you have. Driving with polarized sunglasses helps IMMENSELY!!!! plus there are about $19 at any Target/walmart store & you don't have to throw together whatever you threw together to rid yourself of the glare of your 4R............ :bigok:

Yeah, it's not the prettiest, but in a Camo painted '85 4runner, it works, and that is the most important part. Even polarized glasses do not get rid of all the giant white rectangle of glare and that is what led me to this solution.
I have an '86 pick-up that had a cracked dash as well as being a glare machine. I used the front right leg of the carhardts to cover the whole dash on that one!
I suppose you all can just GUESS what color my NECK is!!

I have no glare. My brother owns a tint shop. He put a clear tint on the entire front windshield that cuts the glare and the UV damage. You might want to look into that too. Pricey though. A piece just for the windshield was $60 his cost. As a comparison he tinted all the rest of my windows for a total of $40 his cost. Labor would of course be extra.

i just hope people that do this remember to wash em first...

nothing like the smell of ass stenching up your ride on a hot summer day.

I covered mine with herculiner when i did the entire floor. It really cut back on the glare and you can't see the cracks anymore! Lol
