Daystar 2.5/1.5 BB Installed

So I had a productive day yesterday. I bought the Daystar 2.5/1.5 kit for my girlfriend as a birthday present. I followed this write-up http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/68638-daystar-2-5-1-5-install.html . Top out only kit.

I do all my own maintenance on my vehicles, but this was my first spacer kit/lift install. I don't have any air tools but I did use an impact gun. This job would have been MUCH harder without the gun. Those LCA bolts were in there good!

No hiccups to speak of really except the top bolt on both sway bar links was corroded to the point that I had to cut them off. I have new ones on the way as well as some Prothane bushings to replace the worn OE ones. Oh, and I was using the OE bottle jack to push the UCA down. If you do this keep an eye on that sucker. It slipped off and cracked me in the ribs pretty good.

As soon as my replacement links arrive I'll have the alignment done. I did mark the LCA alignment points but it's visibly off.

I spent about 4 hours on the front and 1-1.5 on the back. The only help I had was my GF jacking up the axle so I could line up sway bar and shocks. All in all it was a very pleasant project and the truck rides great. I kind of like it more with the front sway bar off. I'll re-install in though because like I said it's my girls runner. Don't want her putting it on it's roof. :thumb3:

Next up is some BFG KO's.

nice job, man that is some scary jack stands you got there :)

HaHa. Yea. My jackstands just weren't tall enough for this install. So I used them as you can see for wheel chocks. I work for a modular building company and we use these stands to hold up our buildings. They look rickety as hell but are rated for 6000lbs a piece.
