I live in va beach as well, I would like to head up next time y'all do this trail ride or really any within a reasonable distance. All I've done is the obx and the beach is boring lol.

Prepped for what? You can do those trails stock in RWD without airing down.
I like easy drives through the woods & sometimes I like Blues at Rausch Creek.

It's unfortunately going to be a little while before I can get back out. March is likely my soonest/best option.

I'm thinking an overnight out and back in George Washington National Forest. Will post ahead of time for anybody interested in joining.

Sadly my right front axle boot is ripped and lost all the grease. I need to get that fixed and do preventative LBJ before I start some trails.

I haven't been up there, but I think the right answer is "it depends on the driver, the rig, and the trail(s) you're on."

YouTube has a ton of video from Rausch Creek. Just hit YouTube and search for "rausch creek" or better yet "rausch creek carnage" for some good examples. Their website has good general info also.

The Greens trails are easy & a stock truck could do them, you might scrape running boards if you have them. Blue trails are a little tougher & more challenging. Black & Reds are hard.

Both of mine ripped as soon as I put on a lift.

How tough/easy is Rausch Creek?

I took the Off-Road 101 course up there completely stock (including tires). Great learning experience and something I would highly recommend if you can swing it. Here are some pics and a description of what the day was like. Only damage I had was to the stock skid plates. If you have someone with local knowledge and a good spotter you can do the greens and some blues completely stock. I also recommend removing any running boards you don't want damaged though (at least that's what I did).
