Ddm tuning hid kit....anyone home?

Hey guys, just looking for any input from past experience with this company....Over the weekend i ordered a set of h11 and 9006 5k hid conversion kit....the website had me input my email address and even setup an account with them....so i did and continued on to place my order....after i placed order i saw the order # and confirmation and it said it would be emailing me shipping details....anyways i never got any of that. Can not log in to my account i created....even tried "forgot my password" and it said an email had been sent with new password but i didnt get that either....i emailed them and still have not heard back....cannot find a phone number for them either? Did i just get scammed?

DDM has been around for a while. They are not known for customer service, but known for cheap disposable hid kits. They offer you a warranty. But good luck getting ahold of anyone to warranty them. it is easier to just buy a replacement if you value your time.

This is not true. They are very responsive with warranty claims. Shipping isnt the best because it comes from china.

yeah i have checked through all my folders like 5 times....i think their website must be messed up....i always use the same username and passwords on all of my accounts and i cant even log into their site using my info....tried caps lock too....:/ oh well i see my payment has already gone through so hopefully i will see my kits in the mail in the next month or so lol....

FYI and for the future, DDM has HORRIBLE customer service. I heard waay too many horror stories. I'm a member of other car forums. Hopefully your purchase goes without a hitch.

If you need HID kits, spend the money and head to the retrofit source. Customer service is top notch, they stand behind their stuff. All of their stuff is warehoused here in the states. I've had nothing but very good experiences from them.

I've had decent luck with DDM. I've ordered a few HID kits from them over the past couple years. More recently I ordered a HID kit from theretrofitsource.com and was pretty impressed with the quality there. Bit more pricey but the quality of components and wiring harness is worth it I'd say.

ive had great success with ebay HIDs. so disposable that if necessary its easier to buy another set than warranty a ballast/bulb.

Unfortunately my experience with them was aweful.. I ended up throwing them away and rebuying a new set from the retrofit solutions.

It seems that either someone's experience is at 1end of the spectrum or the other.. Not many in the middle.

I don't understand everyone's beef with DDM. It's a $30 kit with a lifetime warranty. You can buy 3 back up kits and still pay less than competitors. Their customer service is adequate too. They respond to emails and you can call them, they're located in California (ship from China obviously) and in my experience have been quick with warranty claims. I never had issues with any of the kits but my mother has experienced a bad ballast and bulb, both replaced for free.

first of all they are not thirty bucks with shipping its 47bucks then you buy 3 back up kits now your up to 200 bucks why not pay 150 for a quality kit from the retrofit source and be done with it who the heck wants to be changing out their hids every three months anyway..im the type of person that likes to do things once and move on to the next thing...

They seem pretty legit as I have called the store and the guy gave me what seemed to be straight and honest info. I have been thinking about buying the HID kit and if I do I guess I will be lucky as they are only a mile from my house and have kits in stock for their retail store.

I don't have three back ups, I'm saying you COULD do that. I've had my DDMs in for a year with no problems and I've heard others have them much longer than that. I honestly found no reason to not go with them.
