Well apparantly one of the kids left the lights on inside the 97 and ran the battery all the way down. When I hooked up the battery charger the alarm starts going off like crazy. It will go off but as soon as I open the door it starts going off again. I finally took the horn fuse out for my neibours sake! Is this normal for a dead battery? Ive never had a vehicle with an alarm system. I would just as soon disconnect it but I think my remote locks are tied into the system.

Cycle the key ALL the back to fwd 3x.
The second time should do it but that will work and reset the alarm system (soft reboot).
