Dealer $30.00 Bucks for Air Filter

So my '05 Sport V8 has 19,000 miles on it and the air filter is dirty. I went to the dealer and they charged me $30.00! Is there anyplace to get these cheaper?

Wal-Mart, Advance Auto, Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Trak Auto, Sears, K-Mart.......you name it. Anything is cheaper than the stealership! The engine air filter should cost no more than $10 to $15, and the in-cabin air filter should be available for $15 to $20.

You may find them on-line, but the shipping & handling fees may negate any savings.

I know the dealer likes nice buildings, large staffs and lots of overhead, but why should you contribute to it if you have other options?

Wal-Mart, Advance Auto, Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Trak Auto, Sears, K-Mart.......you name it. .........

As recently as a month ago, Pep Boys and Kragen only had the '03 - '04 style air filter, 9" x 12" rectangle and no cabin filters. The '05s have a trapezoidal shaped filter mounted right on the engine's side of the air intake system. Pep Boys had a part number in the catalogs but no stock. I have not checked WalMart

I understand you can get aftermarket filters from all the sources you mentioned. However, there was much discussion about air filters here on this board. And it was decided that TOYOTA AIR FILTERS are best for your 4Runner. I was hoping for a cheaper (Online) dealer source?
