Dealership axle seals

I have a 2000 Limited 4 runner. Both rear axle seals are leaking differential fluid. Just 3 months ago I did the rear driver side seal due to a previous leak, in addition to the bearing. Now that its leaking again I want to make sure I buy these seals directly from Toyota to give to my mechanic. Can someone please tell me how many seals total I have to get (inner, outer, etc.). I want to be sure to get them all and replace ALL the seals. I heard Toyota makes the seals differently now due to problems with the seals that were originally manufactured for the truck. I'm also going to check the breather plug for a clog. So I just need to know how many seals I need to purchase, and which ones they are. Thanks.

You can go to the dealership and get an exploded diagram of the rear end and then point and say I need this this this and that one.

You should do a search. Seriously see my signature.

BFAD already made a master DIY write up, probably the best one out there on this topic. It has part numbers, pictures, instructions -everything.

I would post the link but I'm headed out to dinner. Use the search, it's a great write up and you really should read it.
