Cleaned up and finally hauled of the parts 4runner and the Sequoia chassis.

x2. Why didn't you save the doors and what-not?

I stripped every good usable part. The problem was the the drivers door was hit hard enough that it tweaked the B pillar, thus pulling on the door latch.

Flawed part.


Windows - the rear quater glass is glued in, the door windows would just get in the way. Insurance will buy new glass so there was no reason to save it.


The funny things is that once i stopped VDOing, the crane operator hit the 4runner body one time and flattened like a pancake. bad timing on my vdo...

I'm curious how you got it on the trailer, unless there is a big cherry picker roaming around there.

I almost expect to hear the 4runner growling as it dies, similar to Goliath rolling off the hill when he faced KITT and Michael Knight in one of those Knight Rider episodes.

I have winch on my Taco and winched it on to the the trailer.


The frame was a bit harder. I parked the taco perpendicular to the blue 4runner and the trailer, threw the winch cable over top of the blue 4runner and winched the frame up and onto the trailer.

Easy peasy.

The sequoia chassis and the 4runner body and chassis only yielded 1900 pounds. $10 per hundred netted $190. So if you don't count the sequoia chassis, you might get $90. I'll make more on the copper from both vehicles.

Except, I didn't tow mine to the scrap yard, I cut it up into bits using a sawzall and had some mexican guys come pick it all up.
