DEATH WOBBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

this is no joke.... driving today i turned around in my friends neighbor hood in a vacant lot.... it was kinda muddy and i floored it out, then when i got back on the street everything was good and i drove out of his neighborhood. once on main road with speed limit 45 i got up to speed and steering wheel started to shake violently..... i stopped pulled over and checked everything over got back in got back to speed and at around 35 it started to wobble again.... going faster now at 50 it was violent.... i had to grip the wheel as hard as i could with both hands to stop the wheel from shaking and then my arms start to shake! its like driving down a dirt road with rocks and potholes everyhwere.... it feels like my friends old 93 jeep grand cherokee.... he had the death wobble too. he sold it though... and never got it fixed cause he said it was too expensive.... i didnt hit anything big like a hole or a rock....does anyone have any knowledge about this??? it feels expensive when driving haha please help!!!! i can probably try to get a video of it tomorrow but ill see.

Mud caked between rotor and rim? Lost a wheel weight? Damaged a rim/tire? I'd get the hose out, clean the wheels/tires, and do a visual inspection. We can't do that on a forum. There's only so much that can cause a bad shake. I'd also check the inflation of the tires.

okay good ideas.... tomorrow ill spray and get a brush to make sure there is no mud caked. i highly doubt i damaged a wheel and tires have good pressure....thanks a ton i have a feeling thats it.... thanks again never thought of the mud cake.

yeah, i second the mud on the back side of the wheels. pretty common.

X3^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Clean them rotors out good as to deter rocks embedding in the pads.

Mud accumulated on your rims will throw your wheel balance. That's also my bet.

just got out from under it cleaning caked mud... i think that was the problem. it most likely came when i got stuck at my friends house in the snow... about to go test drive it and will let yall know if its better. thanks and yea this forum is pretty good at answering questions in 30 minutes.... thats a good thing ha

yep it was caked mud but still wobbly.... i need to take a fine comb over it again when i have time

Same thing happened to me but with snow

had the same issue here when we got a chitload of snow here in jersey. started doin donuts in a parking lot by my house. When i got on the highway the steering wheel did exactly what u described for the next 20 miles. Lesson learned......
