and in that river crossing nothing happened to your engine with all that?!

It was a quick dunk and not a sustained crossing so my intake inlet was not submerged for any amount of time. I did check my intake system afterwards just to be safe and there were no signs of water.

Actually both of them are on. When the switches come, the backlight and on indicator light are orange. I changed the backlight to white and indicator lights blue and orange to distinguish between my ATP's and Ions. I had a couple of extra blue led's lying around so i swapped it.

Do you have a post about how you went about swapping the lights in the switches?

Kevin, which of your LF filters do you find to be the most useful?

Hey Josh, I think the yellow filters are the most useful since it can be used in multiple conditions. Up here, we get fog, rain, snow and it cuts through it really well. The blue filters are nice in the snow because it cuts down the glare and highlights the shadows but it also decreases the light output.

Thanks Kevin! I was thinking the yellow or amber might be more useful than the clear.

I got them from Sparks Toyota. I bought them separately. It's much easier to buy the switch and the connector and just clip off the other end.

Switch PN: PT297-35070-AS
Connector PN: PT297-35070-SH

And for reference, here is what each wire should be hooked up to:
Pin 1 (Red w/ Blue) : Illumination Power for "Lights On" indicator light
Pin 2 (Black): Ground for Illumination circuit
Pin 3 (Green w/ purple): Switch Power (12V Supply)
Pin 4 (Red w/ green): Line Out to Relay
Pin 5 (Grey): Ground for Backlit Illumination Circuit
Pin 6 (Purple): Illumination Power for Backlight

Kevin

How did you order these Aux light switches in different colors (i.e. blue and orange)? Or was this a mod on you part? Thanks!

Mpg

Darkie,

With all the mods that you have how is your mileage ? A lot worse than stock or... ?

Would the same mods have less/better effect on a V8 ?

Darkie - what's new? Any more mods?

Hey man...not much really. I'm in the middle of a rear drawer build so I can lock up my toys and gear. Maybe I'll update the thread once it's done.

Definitely worse. I can remember back when I was stock I was around 20+mpg. Now I'm hovering around 13-14mpg with mixed hwy/service roads. It might not be as drastic with a v8 since it'll probably handle the extra weight and bigger tires better. The roof rack surprisingly accounts for 1-2 mpg hit IIRC.

Agreed. I average about 15 mpg with the roof rack and bigger tires. Stock I think I was getting 20+

Darkie with all those mods I can see the mpg dropping esp with the roof rack, aerodynamics count. However my v6 gets 13-14 mpg and I don't have half your mods. Could it really only be the taller 265/70 tires ? 20+ mpg stock I'd be ecstatic!

What causes that 'clanking' sound in the begining of the video? Are those the Icon coilovers rebounding?

No it's not the Icons. There is something else going on that I haven't had a chance to troubleshoot. I plan to tear down my entire suspension to inspect it since I've also developed a weird squeaking noise after my last trip.
