Decided to break in the TE today

After DKuhen post pics of him breaking in his LE, I decided to go break in my new Trail today. Figured I'd take it up a notch from Sears and park in front of FedEx instead. Couldn't be stopped.

Actually, I finally found a place in OKC to go offroading, but I was too nervous I was going to get in trouble that I didn't stop to take any pictures until I got to FedEx. :hiding: The picture was just a coincidence but I thought it was funny.

Almost got stuck in some deep mud (could barely open the door) with 4Lo and the locker engaged. I pooped my pants a little but then I managed to rock my way out. :driving:

I hate mud. It will never clean up right underneath again. I am glad i live in the desert where all we have is serious dust, mountains and rocks.

Yea it was a pain in the ass to clean but I probably got 90% of it with a power spray drive-in wash. I need to buy my own so I can really get in there without spending $10 in quarters.

Thing is if you do it yourself all the mud will be on your driveway. Which can be a pain to clean up. :biggrin2:

I rather pay the $10 in quarters and not have a muddy driveway after using the pressure washer.

Nice red dirt rooster tail on the door! Where'd you end up going? I recall there were some spots around Draper Lake and Lake Dirty Bird (aka Thunderbird) to get a little dirty...

I hate to be "that guy", but please don't do this. Driving your rig in places that you shouldn't just makes it that much harder to find legit places to offroad. If you don't know for sure that a location is open to you, you really should consider it closed.

How do you like the tires? They look like the at3 but see they are different. How is the ride, noise, handling? Also looks like you have a mild lift but maybe its just the mud...:naughty:

The tires are great so far. I don't have much experience offroading, but it's been able to grip everything that it's needed to so far. I'll be heading to Colorado in March, so we'll see how it handles snow and cold climates. I love them so far. Economical and functional. :bravo:

No lift... this ride is factory, so far. I'll be looking to do my very first mod here shortly with the help of Reata. I'll probably lift it one of these days. Got my eye on a OW 2.0.

There's a lot over at 59th and Douglas, next to Tinker AFB. Not sure if I'll go there again. I'm not too much of a fan of mudding. I mostly enjoy the offroad part of this because of the adventure/outdoors scenery.

I don't think you have to worry because by the time I got there, there were well established trails everywhere. So much so that the tracks I almost got stuck in were deep enough to almost block my door.
