I have a oem deck lamp switch I pulled from my 88 4runner, i want to hook it up to run some fogs in my 92 4runner. Does anybody know how to wire these? There is 5 wires coming out of it.

I know there is a ground, power out and in, however I don't know what the other two do? Anybody done this before?

green with red stripe

white with a black stripe= GROUND

solid green= 12vdc

I will get the rest for you later.. all i can remember off the top my head. I know the other wires are used for the switch on and off and the light that is one the switch itself.

It's a SPDT switch with an indicator lamp.

Green is the common terminal of the switch, typically +12V
Light Green/Red stripe is one position of the switch
Light Green is the other position of the switch

Light Green/Yellow stripe is one side of the lamp, typically +12V
White/Black stripe is other side of lamp, typically ground

Did you ever figure it out? I wanna do the same thing.

wire the relay like you would any other light circuit

just integrate in to the circuit
