Demello Rear Bumper for 5th Gen

Lima mike, jonesey, Okki, and I spoke with Jason Demello for a few minutes at the Summit. We spoke about his pending design for a rear bumper. He has a few other items on the board for design but said he would enjoy working on a 5th rear for us. He said we needed to make noise, that the squeaky wheel gets greased faster.

So, everyone start squeaking and he will jump on board. He said he would need a truck for about 90 days, so if anyone is interested in volunteering, please jump in and see if you can offer up some dates that he could use your truck for the measurements and laser design required.

P.S. Be sure and squeak here and on the Demello page.

If they are in San Diego I could volunteer my Jemima seeing that I won't be needing her for the next few months as I'm in Afghaniland. :3

DM makes sliders, the only Slider they stopped making (thanks to Gay metal tech) is the 3 stage bolt on sliders.

When I spoke with them last, he said he is developing a different design and I believe he makes it for the fourth gen, x-wings or something to that effect.
 
I've worked with Jason @ Demello quite a bit in the past, good dude. I'm located here in San Diego and would definitely be interested in helping Jason out with a donor vehicle for a bumper design. I've been meaning to give him a call about a separate question i have.

Nope that's actually just as far, my ride is in Murrieta, CA which is about 30-45min away. Wonder what kind of deal could be worked out.

But yeah my friend who is taking care of Jemima while I'm gone could easily take it up there.
 
Demello has worked on my truck a few times. Brought it in for a body mount chop on July 4th. I inquired about a rear bumper and was told the exact same thing, needed my truck for 90 days. I live in north OC which is about 20 minutes west of his shop and I would be willing to do so but my truck is my DD and I don't want to pay for a rental.
 
Keep it coming. I think a double swing with limited cutting, but ample protection and strength would be ideal. I would like to be able to mount the spare low so as to not block my rear vision on one side of the swing with fuel/water on the opposing side. Camera view retention is absolutely required.

These are my requests. Throw your in as well please.

i think losing the stock backup camera is one of my main deterrents of wanting a swing out bumper..
 
I know this is an old thread but did anything ever come from this? All of a sudden the posts stop. They don't have anything listed on their site and I would love some kind of set up.

Like others have said, retention of the backup camera is key, and of the parking sensors.
