Detailed list of items/mods on Expedition Overland's 4Runner

Triple Aught Design (the clothing sponsor) is hosting a viewing of the premiere of this season, followed by a Q&A with the guy from AT Overland. He's bringing his personal truck & trailer. Should be entertaining, while dangerous to my wallet.

They didn't mention anything about TAD in the video, I was kind of surprised.

I love TAD stuff, my wallet cannot say the same tho.

So, he is saying it is $28K each (4Runner), he is probably over estimating some, and under estimating others, while, overall, pretty close. I was thinking that it is around $20-25K to equip one of those.

BTW, XO guys estimate each of those 4Runner is worth around $80k.

I saw them wearing some kit (logo T-shirts, Stealth LTs) in the video, but yeah, no sponsor mention, it was weird.

I love it too...and living local to the stores, plus being friends with several of them...it gets pricey.

I spotted the TADgears very early on (from XO's videos and site).

I love their stuff.

I was so sad when my Stealth jacket was stolen. I had it for more than a few years, and it was my fav jacket. Now, I can't afford to replace it, $500!!! Do they run sales or sell seconds at their stores? If you know their employees, ping them for me, I will gladly buy seconds. I use them hard, I would feel a lot better using hard on a seconds than a brand new $500 jacket.
 
TAD love

No mention is required. People know great gear or have deep pockets to go with expensive taste.

Same the first episode at NW Overland Rally this last weekend. Going to be a great season. My thoughts are that the new 4Runner performs better than the old Land Cruiser but I am waiting for them to provide their own feedback.

They do sell seconds and prototypes at the Dogpatch warehouse sale every December. As far as sales, a couple times a year, yeah...but only on certain products. Sign up for their email lists to find out when.

Is anyone else a little surprised Toyota didn't offer up a mixed set of 4runner and a Land Cruiser to haul the heavy stuff?

I think you can reach out to them for it, BUT, I have heard that they want ridiculous amount for it!!

Also, there are others who fabricated similar brackets.

Prototype sigh I wonder how long it will take before I can order some of thoses.

Before November is the word. Sooner I'd bet. Like September or October from what I hear locally.
 
Has anyone confirmed what running boards they are using? The Trail Edition 4Runners they have don't come with any running boards/steps/skids at all, so they put something on after getting them from Toyota. I suppose they could be the standard Toyota boards you can buy.
