DICE iPod kit not charging iPod?

I just installed the DICE Toyota-specific iPod adapter kit today. Installation was super straightforward, and it's working and sounding great. Seeing the artist/track info on the stock HU is pretty damn slick. I customized the cradle a little bit so it mounts next to the HVAC control nicely... will take pics of that soon, it looks great.

HOWEVER, there's one big problem. It's not charging the iPod! I used a similar DICE kit on my last car, and it charged both my iPods fine, which was super convenient. This kit is supposed to charge them as well, but it's not charging either one.

Does anyone else have the DICE iPod kit, and does it charge your iPod? Did you have to do anything special to get that feature working? I mean, it's just plug-and-play, it seems like it should either work 100% or not at all, so I'm kind of at a loss for what to try. Any ideas would be awesome.

Doesn't anyone else have this iPod adapter kit? If you could at least confirm that yours actually charges your iPod, that'd be helpful.

Have you contacted the DICE folks about your issue? Your iPod might not be compatible with the specific Dice ipod interface you are using. I'm using one of the Dice media kits in my 4Runner and it works fine with my ipod classic as well as my iphone 4. However, my previous Dice i-Toyota ipod interface did not work with the iphone 4. Check he supported versions on the Dice site for compatibility.

I've tried 4 iPods with it now just to be sure that wasn't the case, and it does not charge any of them; I had a similar model DICE interface for my last Mazda which charges 3/4 of them. Guess I'll be contacting DICE, thanks!

Ugh, they need the serial number in order to help me, and I already threw away the box. So I have to remove the center console again and look at the actual adapter before they'll even help me! Yay.

Not real sure about the DICE models, but on my old sony headunit i had the ipod adapter and it did not charge because of the ipod i was using was a newer generation. Not sure if this is your problem but just throwing in some of my experience.
