Did I Find a Jewel? '99 Limited w/Locker

I just bought a 99 Limited with 84k miles, recent timing belt, new radiator, and carfax certified one owner and no crashes (although Im wondering why they replaced the radiator so early) for $12k from a dealer who wouldnt budge on price. I really wanted a 99 for the mid gen upgrades and the low miles sold me on it over some nicer looking 98's (I dont love the green & tan color and one of the running boards was rusted off).

Perfection: make sure to look at the lower ball joints, the radiator, and the rear axle seals as well. Take some pics and post them if possible. Good paint jobs can be had from under $1000 to over $3000 easy. The painter and/or shop is the fiscal variable in that equation.

There are some testy Tar Hell fans on this board. I was just commenting on how good of a game it was for any college basketball fan to watch, that is, unless one bleeds Tar Heel blue. Revenge can be served for all come March 3.

Nope, Clemson will never win at the Dean done unless the Tar Heel players don't show up for a game. But the way the Tarheels played last night in the last 2 minutes, there is always hope for the Tigers and all others who enter the Dean dome.

My alma mater (not Clemson) beat the Tarheels on Jan. 4 of 2010, but lost to them on Nov. 28 of the same year. Both were good games. It is fun to watch UNC and other good college basketball teams IMO.

I'm really just messing around. I hated to see UNC outplay Duke the entire game and then get beaten on a last second shot, but the way Austin Rivers stepped back and just drained a 3 with Zeller standing right in front of him was definitely pretty incredible.

It was a great game, and another classic to add to the UNC/Duke yearbook.

Nothing personal Caesar - just a little return ball busting. Some of us do get testy, though, when fans of every other team in the league come crawling out of the woodwork on nights like last night. Yet they don't want to hear a word when the same thing happens to them. My point is, Dook fans and the rest of the haters can be as happy and proud of that win as they want to be, and a win is a win - but how 3 guys paid to referee a game missed a travel in the middle of the court in a critical point of the game is beyond me and they have to admit, they were lucky.

To keep this 4runner relevant: I though the leather on the 4runner for sale looked good. Also make sure the 4wd and locker actually work (some member bought a 4runner last year and all it had was the locker switch, no locker).

I know such is good ribbing. And it was luck on Duke's side last night. Duke/UNC is the best CB rivalry out there. Clemson bb fans right about now are missing coach Parnell, and are waiting for the upcoming football season. The College of Charleston is missing Bobby Cremins something awful right about now.

As a senior in high school, I attended the best Duke/UNC game ever in 95 with my aunt, where Capel hit the three pointer to send the game into the second overtime. But Stackhouse and Wallace were men just playing with boys that night, and UNC got the V.

No man I totally disagree. I think you made the best choice! I bought mine with more miles.... sure it still drives and runs perfect and has been the least problematic vehicle I've ever owned, BUT I still find myself looking for "one owner, low mileage gems" on craigslist almost everyday. I wish I would have held out for a lower mileage one to build upon. Now I'm thinking I'll either be swapping over to a lower mileage T4R after University or going to a LC. You dun good! haha

Oh I'm happy with my decision and having the AWD was nice this weekend when I went boarding. It's nice seeing 112,xxx when I get into it and knowing the PO babied it.

Too funny, we got the same color truck! Sunfire red, with the (Silver? Platinum?) armor. Toyota doesn't have touch up paint for the armor, have you found one that works well??

I found mine on SJ Craigs' 2 years ago with 125,000 miles on it, 1 owner, it had the 100,000 mile dealer service package so I have all the records of when stuff was done at Piercy Toyota. Limited, Factory locker, all the options and got it for $6,000 in great shape. 0 problems in two years now and I've driven up to the snow a bunch of times already!

Almost same. Mine is a 00 so I have the topaz metallic cladding, flares and bumpers. I haven't tried anything as I'm going to scratch it up anyways. Plus I plan on painting mine at some point. Nice find btw. You'll have to join us at the next mod/meet day.
