Did Spacers Trash my Wheel Bearings?

That was me who said that it's a cheap and easy fix. What I meant was if you do it yourself. If you can install spacers or do brakes/rotors, then you can definitely remove/repack/reinstall wheel bearings. It's really an easy job that anyone with a little mechanical aptitude should be able to handle. If your bearings are shot, then you'll have to shell out some clams for new ones, but if you just have to repack them, the job costs almost nothing.

I don't think so... The T4R uses a sealed, non-servicable bearing. It's not the old conical shaped needle bearing that we grew up with.

Okay, then that's even easier. RockAuto sells the front bearings for $70 each. Buying them and installing them is only $140 as opposed to the $550 that the OP stated for a dealership replacement.
