Did the TRD/LC lift and I'm not too stoked

After all the researching and anticipation I finally got around to doing the lift. I got the front struts from and 02 Tundra TRD bil.4600 and rear landcruiser coils that I believe to be 8 wraps. I did the fronts no problem and actually liked the way it looked but the rear was way too blown out and saggy and heres the results to that. 20140221_153007_HDR.jpg

Those of you with experience doing this lift.......will it settle? I hate the look and was gonna go back to my stock tired coils in the morning or have the neighbor torch a coil or two until i can buy some OME springs

one coil is w/b/double purp and the other is w/g/ cant tell single pink? or purple

just checked on the lc color code thread and they are 8 wraps

8 wraps and TRD tundra coils are not a good combo... the 8 wraps give 4+" of lift and the tundra coils will only net about 2"... do not torch the LC 8 wraps, sell them and use that money to offset the cost of some OME906s or the like. cutting the LC coil will not get you what you want and you will not have any resale value to them when your done.

fwiw i was able to get $100 a pair out of the LC coils i had laying around.

What shocks did you put in the front? Most people use bilstein 5100 adjustables and adjust them to 3" of lift. The tundra coils without those shocks will only give like 1.5" lift

I used the Bilstein 4600's. The yellow blue struts. Guess its back to the stock saggy springs temporarily for now. The only reason I did it was because I wanted a cheaper way of lifting it and the rear end would bottom out.

Sounds like you have these:
19.5" Purple Green White 8 wraps
19.25" Double Purple Dark Blue White 8 wraps
Should definitely have some rake from what I have seen on here.

Perhaps you could use it as a hearse (or other such equivalent weight in the rear). At least the rear suspension is easier to tear into than the front. Except the upper shock mounts. My brother bought a '98 pathfinder for his kid and the shocks are mounted on the outside of the frame. Ingenious! I've seen others weld new mounts onto 3rd gens.

Op you mentioned you did a lot of research. I never wanted lc springs but just browsing on lift information. I read that TRD tundra coils net about 2" and even 7 wraps lc coils get 3"p!us. That is already a huge rake. Not sure how you concluded and decided to go with lc springs and not expect your end results.

Go I me 890 for the rear that should get you where you want to be.

Another person in San Diego!

I wish I could tell exactly what LC coils you used.

I have the SS 1.2A setup which is similar to what you describe although I'm not sure if you used the same parts.

There are pics of what it should look like in my signature.

What are your hub to fender measurements for front and rear? Doesn't seem like the front came up much at all and then paired with 8wraps with no weight. Leads to a lot of rake.

I ran this TRD tundras with LC 7 and 9 wraps and never got anything like this.

just saw some threads where people run them with the 5100 but I also seen a couple of threads with people running them with the 4600s with no problem. Guess I shoulda looked a little harder for the color codes on the springs.

Ignore my 2nd comment, didn't realize the first pic posted was a before. DOH!

Well if you don't want them and they are those color codes, I will be interested in them. Looking for those exact springs color codes.
