Diesel Black Diamond Plate - Lower Body Protection

I hit Google and searched the forums, but can't find any products or fabbed work anyone has done. I was thinking about taking black diamond plate steel and cabbing for lower body protection in the rear (similar to the way Jeepers use it). I have a $1500 CBI bumper on the front of my 5T4R...so not looking to put one on the rear at the moment. If anyone has seen anything let me know.

What are you trying to protect- the urethane bumper? If you put diamond plate on that it'll do more damage than just hitting the bumper itself.

I was thinking more so the metal body panels below the rear taillights...but possibly the bumper.

Honestly the sheet metal is so thin bolting diamond plate on top isn't going to do anything. Bolting it to the bumper is not going to work either.

Okay...thanks for the feedback. Saw a picture of some jeeps with it. I know they are typically replacing rusted panels. thought it might be worth investigating.
