It's slow moving over here with the upgrades. The receiving department is getting products in faster than the service department can install them!

This week was 3M vinyl wrap on the roof rack. First time doing any wrapping and was pretty straight forward....just need patience. Turned out a bit better than I expected.

Next up is the lift or front/rear bumper covers. We'll see.

What vinyl did you use? I know i have seen that it is a 3M product but there are so many.

I used "5ft x 2ft 3M 1080 S12 SATIN BLACK Vinyl Wrap Film Car Sheet Roll Sticker" from ebay seller vinylgiant

Paid $26, but it appears he doesn't have an 2' for sale right now. Perhaps email him to ask.

I didn't realize they offer a "gloss black" which might have looked better, but it's all water under the bridge now.

For the front valance panel and rear bumper covers, I ordered the black parts from TRD Pro Shop and they arrived quickly. That's when I went back and searched the threads on how to take off the silver pieces. While I'll tackle nearly any mechanical project, I thought it was a bit overkill for aesthetic reasons. Hats off to the guys who have done it...and got it back on straight, yet decided to take my first stab at PlastiDipping. I also didn't want to drive back/forth to the dealer for any broken clips.

So...here's the work. Turned out MUCH better than I thought. That afternoon, a lil old lady nubbed my rear bumper. No problem, I just gave it another spray.

The unexpected benefits of PlastiDipping the front/rear is easy/simple patch up work when an ass dings your bumper!

Sent the TRD Pro parts back today and saved myself $400.

Wanted to keep using the mudflaps. Drove around for a few days to see where the tires were rubbing, then dremeled away. I need to take a bit more off the "upper" side.

I'll then find some sort of material (Gortex?) to cover up the hole while still fitting snug.

The first choice was to take the heat gun and re-shape, yet was too concerned about melting them. Might try to find a used pair on eBay and give my heat gun skillz some work though.

Anybody know of an aftermarket mudflap for the 4Runner?

Tire update.....

6,000 miles on the BFG KO2s and really don't know what all of the fuss is about. For normal driving, I'd pick these again over the DuraTracs. Some of the concern was wet driving.

After a fall of wet weather and now a few snow storms....the KO2s are handling noticeably better than my DuraTracs. Of course, I don't know if that was a "dry" snow or a "wet" snow OR if my 2015 is simply driving better than my old 2008. Either way, the new set-up is a massive upgrade in 4x4 in 5" of freshie and on wet pavement.

For offroad, still TBD.

I have the same lift and didn't extend the brake lines. It seems they are ok, but they are tight. Am I ok, or do I need to extend them?

If you ever find out, it's too late.

Just teasin. The fine folks at Toytec said it was optional, yet recommended. Frankly, I didn't take the truck down to measure....I just went ahead and changed it while it was up in the air.

No. Std RCC2.0

Rides great. It's always a gamble doing this stuff....and couldn't be happier with both onroad and my novice offroading. All 4x4 trails...nothing extreme.

2015 Trail Edition Premium with KDSS. Bought from dealer with TRD Pro Wheels and Nitto TG G2.

So yes, I got pretty beat up on the price.....so let's not talk about it. My 2 cents for anybody on "negotiating" with a dealer is very easy. Once you're down to the final deal and they counter, simply say that you understand Toyota will be sending a survey in a few weeks about your buying experience and the only way that you'll put all "10s" is if they stop the non-sense and accept your offer.

See you got the Precision LED kits. I wound up getting all bulbs available; interior/exterior. Was wondering if you got the headlights? My DRL/Highs work great, but the lows just don't seem right. Looking for thoughts if you have experience with them. Thanks and the truck looks sweet!

Yes..the Precision LED kit was great. Probably overspent, yet it's nice they package everything up together to take out the guess work.

Never thought of the headlights. Are there any plug n play available? I never got around to the fog lights as the reviews are around 75% thumbs up, which isn't enough to tip me over the edge.

Would love to hear about any headlights if you've been researching it...
