Diff and Transfer Case oil change at 40-45k?

I used the Ravenol 75W fluid for my transfer case. The shifting to 4wd has actually gotten smoother and quicker with the Ravenol. Take a look at the link I posted, the ad also states it is compatible with TOYOTA 08885-81001 and 08885-81081.

I've decided that for all these fluids, I'm gonna do the first change at double the mileage called for by the severe service conditions to drain out initial wear metals. And then double the frequency again for the remaining life of the vehicle. No specific reasoning, just a feel good plan since I plan on keeping the truck until the wheels fall off, and seems about right.

There's already a couple threads on this. I've changed my rear diff fluid twice and my front diff and TC once using Mobil Delvac Synth. 75w-90. Local Toyota dealer wouldn't even order the Toyota Diff or T-Case oils even if I wanted to spend the crazy $ for the crap.
Delvac is/was popular in the FJ forum and for vintage Porsche transaxles. It doesn't have LS friction modifiers. You can get it on Zoro.com for $57/gal with free shipping and they always have coupons.
The rear diff fluid is easier to change than the engine oil.
If you crack open the fill plug to check levels you're halfway done, no jack needed.

I am guessing the 90430-18008 washers are for the T-Case?

I recommend checking the differentials and transfer case at least once, even if you don't drain/refill.

I purchased a 2016 Limited 4R in January of 2017 with 2 miles on odometer. Checked the "hard to get to" fluids at 500 miles. Both differentials were low (i.e., couldn't touch fluid through fill hole for either differential). Needed 3/4 qt to fill rear and 1/4 qt for the front to raise levels to bottom of fill holes. Transmission and transfer case were okay, though.

FWIW, my 2016 Taco was 3/4 qt low on transmission fluid. Beginning to make me wonder about Toyota quality control.
 
I have 2010 Limited with over 120k miles. I don't think either fluid were ever changed.
I'll be changing them soon, and have a question. I want to drain old fluids and fill it with cheap Valvoline 75W-90, drive around for 5-10 mins, drain again and fill with Mobil 1 Synthetic 75W-90.
Will I need two sets of Gasket Kit? Or I can re-use them?
 
So, read through this thread, and have read other threads. Isn't 75W90 gear oil safe for our transfer case? I picked up 7 quarts of Mobil 1 75W90 LS, have the crush washers and was going to try and do my front/rear/t-case this weekend or next. I have 21K miles on my 2016 that I got last december new.

Should I try and source something different for the T-Case?

I drained and refilled with Delvac 75/90 yesterday and have experienced zero issues 2016 TE with 15xxx miles :thumb3:

So after changing all my fluids the only issue I had was that the first 3 or 4 times I shifted into and out of 4LO it made a clunk. But now it’s buttery smooth.
