Diff drop required for 2.5 lift

Anyone know if a diff drop is needed for a 2.5 inch puck lift kit in 3rd gen. Also does getting a diff drop change the rear allignment requiring an allignment after it's installed.

For a 2.5in suspension lift you generally wont need a diff drop,3 inches is pretty much the max for a suspension lift with out a diff drop, and as for the rear alignment when ever you put a lift on your vehicle always get it aligned asap.

Myself and user 318yota both have 2.5" puck lifts and diff drop. You might reduce the life of your CV boots (in which case change them) but nothing drastic.

Always align after you lift. Don't worry about a rear alignment. There's no adjustment in the rear with stock links and panhard

As far as the rear the diff drop will only effect the front, BUT lifting the rear with out either getting an adjustable panhard or extending your stock on (I extended mine) will push the axle a little to the one side. Not a huge deal but looks funny to me!!

Diff drop doesn't really help cv axle angle. Maybe lowers diff half inch. Better off stretching the boot
