Difference between TRD Pro front struts & Bilstein 6112? More inside...

Hey all,

I have a new TRD Pro, and am interested in lifting/leveling it.

I've heard that the TRD Pro front struts are very similar to the Bilstein 6112 models, but without the adjustable spring perch.

I like to know if this is correct, and if so, how is adding a Toytec spacer lift to the TRD Pro struts different from adjusting the 6112 spring perches upward?

I may be mistaken, but it seems like raising the spring perch is extending the shock and/or preloading the spring, which I *think* is what the Toytec spacer lift fir the TRD Pro is doing.

I'd be looking to buy just the front spacers from that kit, and then pair them with T13 Eibach 1.5" springs on the rear:

The off the shelf 6112's will give you the correct stroke where as the spacer will give in increased down travel.. Its that simple

I use the TT spacer because I wanted to clear bigger tires before shelling out on a serious off road setup (I hit off road parks and trail ride once or twice a week). If you never plan on doing any hard wheeling just run the spacer and call it a day. When the pro factor units give in, just get the 6112's with adjustable perch and use the spacers as a paperweight.

I wouldn't think to much about it lol... Congrats on your Pro purchase, welcome to the family

EDIT : There is also a difference in valving between the 6112 (off the shelf) and the Pro 6112, the latter is designed specifically for the truck.
