Differential fluid weed sprayer pump

I had one of those Slippery Pete manual pumps that screws to a bottle but I got tired of having to clean and store it.

I saw a post on FB and copied it, not my idea, just my execution

I bought a Flo-Master 1-Gallon Lawn and Garden Tank Sprayer, $10 https://a.co/d/gBGULns

Picked up some 3/8" ID Shark bite PEX (1/2" OD) at Lowes, $3

Picked up a 1/2" inline brass ball valve at Lowes, $10

Had some spare 3/8" PVC hose lying around

I drilled out the outlet of the weed sprayer to 1/2" and cut a section of the PEX and shoved it in, it was a tight fit

I used a small section of the 3/8 PVC as a junction between the PEX and the ball valve.

The delivery tube is the end of the Slippery Pete bc it has a nice fitting the stays in the diff, so it was repurposed.

You can pre-charge like a sprayer and open the valve or you can manually pump it like a regular jug-top pump.

I'll be using it this week and will revise my design/execution if necessary.

Nice work. I just changed my diff fluids, wish I would've made one of these first. I like the nozzle that stays in the hole, wonder if something similar can be found without buying the Slippery Pete.

I already had the Slippery Pete, but yeah

You could probably accomplish the same with a magnet affixed to the hose about an 1" back from the end

Drained and filled both diffs with Lucas 85W 140 today using the new sprayer. It was basically a dream come true. Easy peasy.
