My best guess: around 8500ft.
Dirtco, I love the beadlocks filled up with snow. Like aero wheels on a road bike. Have you thought about siping your MTR's? After experiencing my old BFG M/T's that were siped, I don't think I'd ever own another set of solid-lug style tires without siping them.

It was a Blast!!!:frog: I love snow wheeling, especially when the snow is deep like that! There's nothing like pushing snow as deep as the headlights, and still having a good foot or two under you!
Quicksilvr is right, about 8500'. I live at 9200' but this trail is a ways out of town and the area drops in elevation, you start climbing in elevation as you work your way up the trail.
The wheels fill up fast in the deep snow; it's a pain when it comes time to air up, but that's just part of the game.
The new MTR's do pretty good without siping, they have a lot more biting edge's than a real solid block tire (like the KM2 or old MTR). I had a buddy that ran the old MTR's siped and he loved the siping too. If I ran the KM2's I would defiantly sipe them.
Thanks man! Nope, no issue's with the nose cone after I replaced it (knock on wood). It seems the first nose cone was defective and that was causing the leak.

That looks like a good amount of snow for 8500-9500 feet. I've heard you guys are having a tough snow year up there, but it doesn't look too bad from your pictures.

It's been a really rough year for us, we should have double the amount of snow. This area I found is awesome, there was only a few inches of snow at the start of the trail, but once I gained some elevation and got into the trees there was a good foot or two of snow. Further up the trail the snow just got deeper and I started running into the DEEP drifts! This area is just perfect, and gets very little use this time of year.

I finally did the fog light modification; I’ve wanted to do this for a while and I finally found the time. I have my Rigid Industries Dually D2’s wired to the factory fog light harness. As you all know the factory fog lights only work when the low beam headlights are on, they will not work with the running lights or the brights. I bought the amber colored D2’s for the extreme snowy conditions I live in (they also work great in dusty conditions), the amber color does not have the glare back that normal colored lights do. I wanted the option of running the D2’s with just the running lights, that way I don’t have the headlights creating glare back in white out conditions.
I saw Ripcord’s write up in his build thread, and I found a couple other write-ups on Yotatech.

It seemed like a simple project, so I didn’t bother taking my camera to the shop. Once I tore into it I realized that the wiring was different, along with the fuse locations. For my 99’ Limited I had to cut the red wire w/ yellow tracer that goes to the fog light relay and soldier the relay side of that wire to the black tail light wire. It was still a simple project, but if I had my camera I would have snapped a couple pictures for you guys.
More info can be found here, but instead of the jumper wire I hard wired it inside the fuse box like the above links.

And here is the mandatory picture of the fog lights working independently of the low beams. I’ve been waiting to post pictures of all the lights in action until I got this project wrapped up, so I hope to have pictures and video of all the lights in action soon.

Thanks! I plan on taking some better pictures and video of all the lights in action when I get some time. It's been a pretty lame winter, but I'll try to take some pictures, or video of the amber D2's compared to the headlights in the snow.

Just a thought, have you considered Vimeo.com ?
They allow for high resolution videos and have no such restrictions.

Vimeo looks pretty cool. I looked at the site after Youtube published my video with no audio and a banner saying I violated their rules. My buddy said the rules are the same as Youtube, but I guess that doesn't mean they enforce them the same or that they are as strict. My file sizes were too large for the free membership (damn 1080
), so I need to compress them down, then check out the site and see if everything works the way I like. Thanks for the link, hope you like the video's!

Thanks! They are standard MagLight clips, I got them at my local hardware store.
