The forest service is absolutely horrible at answering the phone, we have tried. The ranger district just says "there's still some snow up there" but cant clarify how much when I called them.

I had some buddies up in that area for the 4th of July. Fully built Ultra4 style buggies on 40's. He said it's still really deep. 3-4' deep for 3-4 football fields. He has a cabin super close to Mosquito and knows the area very well. I don't think you'll have a shot of getting over that pass for another couple weeks.

Yep, and it's already done! I just needed a little time to think about it.

I removed the sunglass holder/map light and I was able to get a pry bar in there and pop the largest dent out. The small dings are still there but it looks a lot better than it did.

Maybe a little hammer & dolly would take the small dents out?

They race pack Burro's from Alma over to Leadville over the pass, the miners used Burro's to transport their gear back in the day so it's a throw back to the old mining days.

I'm pretty sure I could get them out using paintless dent repair tools, I just have more important things to do. Maybe down the road I'll get around to it.

My driver side seat has been on it’s decline for years now, it’s not horrible but it does have multiple large cracks and the foam is starting to break down. It was time for a replacement and Father’s day seemed like the perfect opportunity to get a replacement.

I looked at several different companies but PRP stood out because you can literally build the seat your dreams; you choose all the fabric colors and stitching, along with multiple different options. While its not really possible to perfectly match an OEM color, you can still get close and find something that looks good with your interior.

I went with the Daily Driver seat (to make it a little easier to get in/out) and in addition to the custom color combination, I also had them install a seat heater and adjustable air lumbar support.

I started by removing the factory feet from the stock rails

I built the seat frame around the factory feet, I chose to forgo a slider since I’m the only one who drives the truck (It’s easy to drill four holes if the seat ever needs to move), this also let me keep the seat low and regain a little headroom. The dropped the seat roughly two inches, and the seating location feels more like a 1st Gen 4Runner.

I meant to take more pictures of the frame while building it, but I forgot.

What color did you use for the main body of the seat? it seems really close to the stock color. How is the comfort compared to the stock seat? Im also thinking of retaining the adjust ability of the stock seat if I order one, how much more difficult do you think it would be to mount it to the stock power slider.

The color is 222 PVL Beige, if you go to their website you can choose the back, center and arm fabric color. I think the seat is very comfortable, but I've sat in racing seats before and I know how they feel. Even though it's the "Daily Driver" series it's still quite a bit harder to get in and out of than stock. Yes, I'm sure you could use the factory power slider but it would take some work, and the seat will be as tall, or taller than stock.

You are correct, the last two clips are playing around on the second obstacle of Wheeler Lake. So what are you going to build this time?

i actually used a set of retractable MRAP seat belts in my 81 Trekker.
It was nice having the full harness protection and being able to lean forward and move around. The rear harness bar limited access to the back though

Those are awesome [MENTION=101372]Dropzone[/MENTION] ! I had a set of standard 5 point harnesses in the old green 4Runner and they sucked for regular driving.

It's official, I got an email from Photobucket saying my pictures will only be visible until my subscription is up (unless I renew). I'm pretty sure my renewal date is September so after that my pictures will be gone. If you wish to save any pictures now would be the time to do it.
