Dirtyfingers' build thread..

I remember lurking last year when your truck was just a list of parts on order. It's come along way and looking real good, one of my favorite colors too. I have a couple questions for you. Now that you've had more time with the transgo shift kit, what is your extended review. Are you happy with the your program selection as compared to AC10?
Also I assume you replace the pan gasket, is there anything else to plan for?

Haha dang I was just thinking about my truck a year ago and just how much I wanted to have it nice and lifted. Thank you man, it's been an adventure for sure, as far as the transgo kit has been I love it and it's still just amazing and feels great all around. The shifts are great and the transmission handles the supercharger very well.

On another note I know you guys saw me with a Mercedes a month ago but that ended up getting traded in for a BMW, I'll get there in a second though. Today I washed my truck for the first time I've had it in two years and some change, and it cleaned up very nice! I just used water, soap and some compound for this one, and I spent about 3 hours hand waxing it, there's still some things that need to be addressed but this wasn't a full detail like I would do on my BMW. I also put in a sub along with a nice old school sub amp and it sounds great and very balanced. With out further ado, here she is!

Yes I'm still waiting on savage to get their new bumper out...it kinda pisses me off that they didn't just keep the old design available for sale, not sure why... But to each their own, this is a shout out to them, hurry up! Haha

And here's the grocery getter/ night on the town car. The bimmer

Thanks guys!

How is this awesome 4Runner doing? You still putting that board bumper to good use?! Can't wait to see some updates and pictures of it out doing its thing.

you and me both man I had to take it to the shop for the first time of having it for two years...but all Is well. im going to try to take it out sometime after it gets out haha

Well some good news, I've been driving it around and it's been running like a champ. The shop I took it to was pretty much jerking me around so I had them pull it off the lift and push it into a parking space and I figured out what had happened, my fuel pump had come off the bracket and was dangling by the wires in the fuel tank. Hose and all, so I fixed it and went on my merry way. So soon I will be helping MillerPKA get rid of his old bumper;) good by wooden bumper! And of course some off roading pictures.

I had no idea you were running a...wood bumper. Sorry for the delay man but wow..can't wait to get this build underway and give you a better option.

I think I remember looking at it, im pretty good about looking at other 4runners haha

I do too. Used to just identify the gen, but now when I see a 3rd gen, I go for "pre-99/post-99" based on the fat-lip/lack-of-fat-lip. Of course I look for mods, etc. too. There's a really nice armored/lifted/lighted dark grey/gunmetal type colored 3rd gen I've seen here in Lincoln but I haven't seen it post on T4R. I should put a flyer on his wiper or something :D

I just saw your front bumper and instantly recognized you haha

It's either that or how loud it is;)

Haha yeah only because the base police are dicks. But for sure! I'm also down for helping out when I can, I think you got my number right?

So I bought a sport hood, and a some CB mounts, got some updates I got to get some pics of yo. Yeahh. You guys in fo a treat.

How's the bed liner working on the bumpers, really cool idea and haven't seen anything like it yet. Did you just spray it with a can of primer before? How many coats of bedliner did you use after it was primed?

I used about 3 coats give or take. It's really held up pretty great.
