Discount Tire won't rotate cause of wheel spacers? What the hell.....

That's cool that they are normally lax about off road type stuff. With Moab and all the sick land out there, they should be! I love camping in Utah, but the only thing I didn't like was searching for a place that sold beer. One of the most beautiful states in the Union!

Liquor laws changed this past session and have already gone into effect. I am not a drinker, so I am not sure what happened exactly, but I heard that the amount of liquor licenses went up considerably, and the stupid nonsensical private club requirement for bars went by the wayside. Anybody of age can just go into a bar and have at it like in any other state.

I am not sure if that will make a huge difference, but I haven't heard as much of the usual complaints. One of my friends came in to town from Seattle to ski for a few days and he had nothing but good to say. He is the type that drinks every chance he gets, so I am assuming that things went ok for him or he would have told me! Haha.

That's cool they're joining the rest of the country on that. I'm not a big drinker myself, but I don't mind knocking back a couple when I'm camping! :beer:

TC4rnr - you are right, not a big deal in the big picture and not telling them how to run thier shop. And yes I will not give them any more of my biz.

I think my frustration came from not having a problem for years and all of a sudden BAM! Won't touch it.

I have been around longer than 14 months and know that this place is great for topics like this. I am far from a troll or post ho - just wanted to tell my experience with DT and spacers. Perhaps 3 pages and 40+ posts gave the impression it was a big deal?

Sorry for resurrecting this older thread, but I wanted to update that I learned the hard way today that Discount Tire refused to put tires on since I had SpiderTrax. Corporate policy and they wouldn't budge on it. Ended up they took the spacers off, and now i gotta put them on tonight.

This has to be a store-by-store thing, or even manager by manager. Last time I was in a Discount for a rotate, maybe a month ago, I asked ahead of time if my wheel adapters were going to be a problem, and they manager looked at me funny and asked why would it?

Toyota did the rotation for me with no questions asked. I have spydertrax all around.

I think the PC comment was reffering to the castration of the American society and if one person out of a million has a problem, the other 999,999 have to suffer. Example: If one person shoots someone else in this country, the government and media go out of their way to protect the criminal/murderer and blame everything on the gun manufacturer and the "far too lenient" gun laws. While the murderer gets let free in 3-7 years to go out and kill again, we (the law abiding majority of the country) never get our rights back. Sure, it was the AK-47's fault - definitely not the murderer. Guns kill people just like pens write Pulitzer Prize winning novels, right? Ha!

One dumbass installed his spacers too loose, crashed his truck and now NONE of us can put spacers on our trucks without a legal issue.
